Todd Moritz is the Founding Director of LuTEC. He has a diverse background spending 18 years in corporate America and the last 24 years in ministry. He has an MBA, CPA and is a Commissioned Minister (Teacher) in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He has served as the Executive Director of a large congregation in St. Louis, was the CEO of an association of three high schools in Milwaukee, and most recently was the CEO of Orange Lutheran High School. His mission is to share Jesus, develop leaders and simplify the administrative burden of ministry (Romans 12:11). He loves high school kids and helping them learn to "adult".
Todd is married to Sarah, also a Commissioned Minister (Teacher). They have three boys at home, two that are out of the nest and three granddaughters (one with Jesus).
We are thrilled to announce the addition of Miss Bonnie Hicks to the LuTEC Team! Miss Hicks will be joining us as our Academic Learning Guide. In this role, she will be responsible for teaching theology, monitoring and holding students accountable for classwork - and building relationships with students and the community to help our school continue to grow academically, spiritually and numerically.
Bonnie comes to us with a wealth of work experience, education and a long history of loving teens.
Academically, Bonnie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Theological Studies from Concordia University in Irvine in 1999. She is a Minister of Religion - Director of Christian Education in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). Further, she has completed the Bridges Coaching Certification with an emphasis as a Life Coach.
Her career experience spans over 25 years, all with Christ the King Lutheran Church in Newbury Park, California. She has served in many capacities including worship leading, leading youth Bible studies, children’s ministry and numerous student trips, activities and programs. Her current role is the Director of Youth and Family Ministries.
Personally she loves to sing, travel, spend time with family and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Southwest District of the LCMS.
Jedi Ces has been a part of the LuTEC team since 2023! As the School Assistant, she will be actively involved with all the details of the school including parent / student communications, marketing, infrastructure support and much more!
Jedi has a great background that makes her perfect for this position. She currently is the part-time Youth Director for New Life Foursquare Church in Norwalk. Prior to taking on the ministry role at New Life, she worked for Kiewit Infrastructure West, Inc as an Engineer II. She holds her bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Cal State Fullerton where she graduated Magna Cum Laude (Go Titans!). While at college, she held a position as a leasing agent and receptionist at Casa Madrid Apartments in Lakewood. She is also a gifted musician and plays the drums on a regular basis at New Life.
Jedi will be in the office from 9am to 3pm most days. Stop in and say hello!
